Bathroom remodeling
Bathrooms, down to what's behind the tile.
A bathroom packs plumbing, wiring, waterproofing and tile into a small room, so the work you can't see matters most. We do the framing and plumbing as part of the same job as the tile and vanity, so nothing falls between trades.
Whether it's a full primary-bath remodel or a new vanity and faucet, you get the same written estimate and the same crew.
Planning a bathroom?
Before you pick the tile.
- 1
Tub, shower or both
Decide this first. Switching a tub to a walk-in shower changes the drain, the waterproofing and sometimes the framing.
- 2
Waterproofing matters most
What's behind the tile keeps water out of the walls and floor. Ask any contractor how they waterproof a shower.
- 3
Ventilation
An exhaust fan sized for the room and vented outside protects the new finishes from moisture and mildew.
- 4
Storage and light
Plan the vanity size, medicine cabinet and mirror lighting together, while the walls are open.

Do you take on small bathroom jobs?
Yes. Along with full remodels, we do smaller work like a new vanity, tile repairs or a faucet and fixture swap.
Do I need a permit to remodel a bathroom?
Usually, yes, once the work touches plumbing, wiring or walls. We file the building permit with your town and schedule the inspections. Plumbing and electrical permits are pulled by the licensed plumber and electrician on the job, as Massachusetts requires.
Can you turn a tub into a walk-in shower?
Yes. We check the drain location and framing at the visit and include any changes in the written estimate.
Do you remodel bathrooms in businesses?
Yes. Most of our work is in homes, but we also remodel bathrooms for commercial properties.
